Chandelle Breakfast Fly In - April 6, 2013
Come join us for a pancake
at the Chandelle Breakfast Fly In. The breakfast will be held at Stu and Marj
Swanson’s hangar. We will serve breakfast from 9 until 10:30 am. For those of
you that may be driving the address is 126 Landmark Drive, Greer, SC. If you
are flying, Chandelle is located approximately 5 miles SE of GSP.

RUNWAY
3700-Ft. Paved and Lighted. Runway 21, Left Traffic, has a displaced threshold. Watch for the wires east
of the highway on approach. They are marked with red balls. When departing Runway 21, as soon as practical, make a
right turn heading 230 degrees for
noise abatement. We thank you in advance for this courtesy.
We ask that when approaching
Runway 3, Left Traffic, if practical, off-set the final approach slightly to
the northwest (left) so as to avoid flying low, directly over the homes in the
neighborhood adjacent to the airport. Again we appreciate your courtesy.
After careful
consideration and for the enhancement of safety, the Chandelle Breakfast Fly In
has decided that it would be safer not
to use the grass for landing during the Breakfast Fly In. All take-offs and landings will be
conducted on the paved runway only. This will allow for less conflict with
taxing aircraft. After landing, aircraft should taxi in the grass on the northwest side of the paved runway.
There will be parking
attendants to assist in directing you to parking. The parking attendants will
have radios for communicating with taxing aircraft.

The residents of Chandelle
Aviation Estates would like to remind everyone to observe all Federal Aviation
Regulations. Safety is our # 1 priority. All types of aircraft are welcome with
the exception of jet aircraft (turbo-prop aircraft do not fall under this
restriction and are welcome to land at Chandelle) and aircraft that have a
gross weight greater than 10,000 pounds at the time they are operating on the
Chandelle runway. Thank you for your cooperation.
Driving Directions – From
Greenville drive north or from Spartanburg drive south on I-85 to exit 60, turn
south onto Hwy 101 toward Woodruff.
Drive 4.2 miles on Hwy 101, turn right onto Brockman Road. Take the next
street to the left, Air Park Drive. Continue on Air Park Drive, take the second
street on the left, Landmark Drive. You will see the signs to parking and the
Swanson’s home.
From Columbia and points
east. Take I-26 west to exit 38, Woodruff. Turn left on Hwy 146 and drive 7.5
miles. Turn left onto SC Hwy 101/146. Drive 7 miles. Watch for the traffic
light at SC Hwy 417. Continue 1-1/4 miles past Hwy 417. Watch for the end of
the Runway on your left. After passing the Runway turn left onto Brockman Road.
Take the next street to the left, Air Park Drive. Continue on Air Park Drive
take the second street on the left, Landmark Drive. You will see the signs to
parking and the Swanson’s home.
